Artist's Comments
For several years, I was a SegaSonic purist. I mostly rejected the cartoons and comics and embraced only the characters and world of the games. This picture is from that period. I still prefer the game world, but I'm not so devout about it anymore.
This is just a group picture of various Sonic game characters: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Dr. Eggman, Big, Froggy, Tikal, Chaos, Bean and Bark from Sonic the Fighters, the Flicky birds from Sonic 3D Blast, and a couple of chao. I'm not sure whether I intended to include more characters (like the Chaotix) or leave it as-is. I think I got Bark somewhat wrong because I lacked a good reference picture, and Big looks...small. The picture still has some charm, though. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I did draw his hair differently then. It was wilder and more spikey, and more like a real hedgehog. Maybe I should return to that style.
